How Are Popcorn Ceilings Removed?
If a popcorn ceiling has not been painted, the process is fairly straightforward. First, the ceiling is saturated with water, which helps the popcorn texture be easy to scrape off. If the ceiling has been painted, then the paint has to be stripped first or the water won’t be able to help separate the popcorn texture from the ceiling itself.
We use a special paint stripper designed for popcorn ceilings. This stripper is brushed or rolled on to the surface of the ceiling and is designed not to drip away. After it has soaked in, we are then able to scrape away the texture. It is important that the ceiling be kept consistently wet to make the removal safe and healthy for everyone in the house.

This is the best painters I have ever had! Not only was the ugly lime green wall that was here when we bought our home gone, our doberman had swung his favorite toy the ball on a rope and created a huge dent in a curved corner! They restored it back and it was actually better than before. The eye sores were gone! What I also liked was that Helaman was so talented and a perfectionist! He was so patient to explain to me the process along with the extra time and attention to the details. Probably The best experience I have ever had hiring somebody to do something. Helaman is a perfectionist. He is so sweet and he genuinely cares about his work. That is just so refreshing in this day and age of people wanting to throw something together and then charge you for it. Painting is a laborious and messy job. I had my apartment done and it was amazing. I was moving into a pretty run down, smelly apartment and had it repainted. The work was done way faster then I thought possible and it was done so neatly.
